Bangladesh Reports Six Deaths From Covid
Bangladesh on Tuesday announced 276 cases of COVID-19, while coronavirus claimed six lives.
The country recorded 1.44 percent of COVID-19 positive cases after 19184 samples were tested within the last 24-hour period, Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) declared in its regular daily report.
Within the last one hour, the total amount of coronavirus cases within Dhaka city and the upazilas in Dhaka district stands at 175 and no deaths from COVID-19 were in the same time frame.
The official count showed that the virus killed 27834 people and infected 15,682,257 to date, the report added.
The number of recovery patients increased to 15,32,180, after another 444 patients were released from hospitals over the course of one day.
The DGHS figures showed that of patients infected at the beginning, 97.70 percent had recovered, and 1.77 percent perished.
The DGHS reported that out of 27,834 fatalities, 12,134 were recorded at Dhaka district, while 5,651 died died in Chattogram 2,041 in Rajshahi 3,593 were in
Khulna, 945 in Barishal 1,264 in Sylhet 1,363 people in Rangpur and 843 in the Mymensingh division.
